Book Of Death The Fall Of Harbinger Issue 1 Day Of Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

If you don't want to know the possible future for Faith or the other Harbinger characters than avoid this book! On the other hand it is an extremely recommended book due to the thoughts and emotions it provokes in its readers. Heck I almost cried while reading this comic. It is not just the character deaths or how beautiful the art is, but the profound thought put in to all of this comic. I would rate this up there with the last Doctor Who Christmas special to star Matt Smith, because one truly feels the sadness of knowing the end approaches. Just a beautiful, brilliant, and award worthy comic!

The Paybacks Issue 2 Advance Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

I recommend this awesome book due to the amazing creative team. Also I am loving all the references they throw, including the ones that they have to be careful about. Speaking of references another character Donny Cates worked on at Dark Horse appears for a few panels in this issue. Regarding panel structure I have to say the creative team has hit the mark again for a perfect composition. Said structure also greatly evens out the pace for the comedic visuals to truly hit their marks. Finally I am loving the rate of questions and answers that are being given to the reader. This set-up of a nice a-b-c-d kind of plotting is working well for the book and I hope the creative team can keep it up.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Volume 4 Manga Opinion Piece

The hands don't always look right in this volume. Speaking of oddities in this volume, what is up with the pharmacist making a kissing face and sound effect? I also notice that certain characters make appearances in this volume but not in Sailor Moon Crystal. (At least I don't remember them being in the Jupiter abduction episode.) I found this volume's cover to be dynamic and joyful based just on Makoto's poise and expression. Finally I have to say that Artemis looks weird on page 55. I mean he looks like an obviously alien cat in one panel and this kind of weirded me out.

Weird Ideas List Of 4 Food Politics Edition

1. Could original Godzilla out eat his namesakes when it comes to a hot dog eating contest between them? Excluding Mecha Godzilla of course.

2. Why do American politicians who don't want a government shutdown not continue governing while the others are not coming into work? Especially before the next election year?

3. What collective entertainment industry eats the healthiest?

4. Someone thinking: "I have [insert obvious body part]!" Note that they have always had said part.

Mind Management Issue 30 Review

The pacing and ability for this issue to act as a standalone are the weak points of this comic. First the pacing is just not really flowing at a full speed because of the latter problem. Now the reason the latter problem exists is because of the how reliant the story is on previous continuity. Add in the fact that the art style and character focus shifts a few pages in and you have a very inconsistent book. That being said the texture and shading of the issue are astounding! Not to mention the cover is done in such a way that I can't tell if it is a picture of art or just very artistic, and this makes it exceptionally good!

Recommended for those who have knowledge of the larger story. Not recommended as either a starting place or standalone story.

Recommended Comics List Of 4 Three Books and a Song Edition

1. Desolation Jones Issue 1 (2005) is not for kids or teens or people in certain countries like Germany. This issue could be read on its own because the issue has a definite beginning, middle and end. However after reading this issue I feel like I will need to track down the rest of the story. Finally the art and writing are exceptional!

2. Frank Frazetta's Sorcerer (2009) is a decent comic and does its job as a one-shot. However it is more inspired by Frazetta's work versus actually being a Frazetta work. Recommended for 18 and up sword and sorcery fans as well as Frank Frazetta fans.

3. Captain Marvel #1 from 2014 is a good set-up with strong female leads. Sadly it is rated teen plus. However for those old enough I recommend it because Carol Danvers is the best holder of the title so far. Also recommended for those in denial about women creators and fans since you fools need to rethink your chauvinist ways. (note: I have said and thought sexist things at times myself, but I …

Blue Asteroids Cowboy Bebop Episode 6 Opinion Piece

Giraffe alias the immortal child resembles one of the creepy psychic characters from Akira when he is aged to death. Speaking of that scene I felt the end bit with the Harmonica was kind of weak. I also think Faye should have shared some of the dog food with Ein. Though I think Ein should have done more than look on at Faye eating his food. For example he could have growled a little. However for all I know the episode's budget could have gone over the limit from that added action. Finally I liked Fatty's Japanese voice better, and the emotions in the Japanese voices more for this episode.

One Question! Has anyone ever asked the creator what exactly influenced the major plot points for each episode and the other media?

Power Cubed Issue 1 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!
There are two problems I found with this issue. First the mention of 'god' in a pretty linear dream seems to suggest a religious aspect that does not fit the Sci-Fi genre. However it would fit the fantasy genre side of the story and thus I am letting it slide for this issue. Second is the last page features the female from the cover, but her left foot looks a little deformed. Still it looks like a foot in clothing so I this problem is not the worst.
Now the positives are: the dialogue is pretty close to realistic in feel. Also the villain has what is probably an 'evil' brain in a jar which is just classic. Other than that one artistic problem mentioned earlier I think the art is great. The colors are bright without being annoying level bright. There is clearly a plan of some kind behind the making of this comic. Finally the protagonists are very likable.
My verdict: recommended for those looking for something seemingly new in terms of old …

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Volume 3 Manga Opinion Piece

I was delighted to recognize a name (Steve Wands) on the lettering credit of this volume. For those who don't know he has worked on a number of American comics, and apparently at least one English translation of a Japanese comic collection. Another delightful thing is the various differences I keep finding between the different variations of the Sailor Moon brand. Such as the fact that this edition of the English translation has Umino in place of Shingo when Chibi-Usa brainwashes the family. Also the fate of Mamoru's knights is different from the fates depicted in both versions of the anime.

Questions! How was Motoki Furuhata able to figure how two of the Sailor Scouts identities so easily? Why did Sailor Moon Crystal not include Motoki remembering the command center under the arcade? Will the manga reveal anyone else discovering the Scouts command center? For crying out loud what is with Mamoru's having both Beryl and Asanuma as kind of stalkers? Finally Luna p is a m…

In The Name Of The Moon It Will Be Blogged Sailor Moon R Episode 33

Wow they really cut a lot of violence! However I liked both dubs of the episode, especially the dog peeing joke. Though I do think the English dub had a disturbing comparison made by Makoto. I mean she frigging compares a dog to "that guy!" So did the original English dub production team realize that they were suggesting bestiality? Disturbing! On a lighter note I am still wondering why 'Dog Day For Artemis' was the reworked title for the English dub when he is a cat. Finally why was there no blood from the animal bites in the Japanese dub?

Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy Pilot Review With Spoilers

This feels less like a pilot episode and more like a continuation of the movie. Though whether it will draw in the same non-comic fan audience members as the movie is open to debate. However the effects are very well done and help the show look like a big budget animated movie. Also the voice casting is almost top-notch with the only exception being Yondu. He sounds less like the movie's redneck and more like a hill-billy. I do feel this is something that people can get used to. Finally the script is well paced and gives all the characters a tiny bit more personality than the movie and comics.

My verdict: I recommend checking this episode out and going on to the next if you agree with me.

Book Of Death Issue 3 Day Of Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

The writing has improved. This is possibly because Robert Venditti is not dealing with all the players for most of the issue. Though I do think he fumbled the ball on the character/past issue summary page in terms of information provided. Also fumbled is Aric being intelligent enough not to let Shanhara heal certain injuries when that means there will be less of him. I say this since we don't get a sense of emergency regarding said injury. Finally the art by Robert Gill improved but still not as good as Doug Braithwaite. The disparity between their art styles is just not small enough that one fails to notice it.

Since this issue showed improvements, including characters acting smarter, I feel this book is recommended.

Book Of Death Legends Of The Geomancer Issue 3 Advance Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

This is a recommended penultimate issue! The beautiful anachronistic cover alone is a logical  reason to buy this book. Other reasons are: The interiors again have an astounding mixture of color and art. A well-crafted for trade, yet able to stand alone, story. Also the different classical myths used as references to create this tale. Not to mention Cuth gets a gift from the first Geomancer. Finally there are the plot twists and creator commentary in the final pages.

Remember this is a retailer incentive that is not going to be reproduced so it will be hard to come by in the future. So go forth Valiant fanatics and know-it-alls and track it down!

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 10 Issue 19 Advance Mini-Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

This issue acts as breather for the characters, however it is a bit of a downer for readers. I mean all Buffyverse fans know of how Hank Summers does not deserve the title of father, but this gives him a new low. However it seems like it could have used a bit more room to be talked about vs what we got. Though Giles does get some character development in this issue. As for the visuals, they are good in terms of line work and the color palette, but this is just not a stand out issue. Overall I recommend this for long time Buffyverse fans.

The Paybacks Issue 1 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

There are multiple parodies in this superhero satire withBloodpouch being the most obvious one. Interestingly enough back at the 2013 C2E2 I made a joke about Rob Liefeld's use of the pouch motif, and how he should just create an all pouch character was brought up. So Kudos to this series' creative team for getting to this same character idea before Liefeld or myself could. Also kudos for a great first issue. Though I did find problems with the soot spots type of texture not really fitting the feel of the book. Also team leader Emory Rains either has to lose her status or be defined as working under operations communicator Driver. Finally I loved the subtle Thundercats parody in the background near Jacob Destruction.

I recommend this issue mainly because of Driver, Doctor Blaqk, Jacob Destruction, and the mystery of Mr. Pierce. Also due to the excellent set-up for many different future stories.

Recommended Comics List Of 4 Piglet Edition

1. Walt Disney Presents Winnie-The-Pooh #14 (1979) is whimsical and perfect for fans and early readers.

2. Once Upon A Time: Out Of The Past hardcover from 2015 is a good collection of adventures that expands on the show. However it is not required to have seen the show to enjoy this hardcover. Though by that same token it is not required reading to enjoy the show since each media product can stand alone.

3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #3 (1988) is a decent comic book translation of the original cartoon show. I am recommending it more for those who are fans of the Turtles, but cannot hear the show's sounds.

4. Mega Man #53 (2015) has good art and the story is a good breather after all the action of the past few issues. It also has some intellectual subtext put into the comic.

Bloodshot Reborn Issue 6 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of mild Spoilers!

This issue is suspenseful and has an amusing shock involving the two authority figures. The art is great especially in how realistic a cat looks, and the design of the characters' feet. Note that not every pro comic artist can draw feet, even great ones. So Kudos! As for the pacing and dialogue they are top-notch. Regarding the last page reveal, it is just an obvious story point that I am glad Jeff Lemire finally brought up. Finally I have to recommend this book for its excellent coloring job.

Blue Asteroids Cowboy Bebop Episode 5 Opinion Piece

This is my favorite episode because it is the first I ever saw of the show. Though I now have to say I prefer the script of the Japanese dubbing. At the same time I prefer the overall attitude of the English dub of the episode. I wonder if that is considered odd by any of you out there? Also did Annie ever get back both stolen magazines? Finally is it just me or do the Japanese actors for Spike and Jet sound somewhat similar at times? (Geez you would think I would have more to say!)

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Volume 2 Manga Opinion Piece

Wait so Queen Beryl is actually Princess Beryl and yet she is still Queen of the Dark Kingdom? Seriously is she basically the Japanese equivalent of Marvel's Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner? I mean she is calling herself by the wrong royal title. Does this mean she was related to Endymion?  Another thing did Ami's family money act as seed money to help create Crystal Tokyo?

Opinion! I have to wonder why the creator had Makoto make the bad pun about Usagi's name when it screws with the pacing. Also this is not as pretty as the animes, but it definitely has a better over-arching story pacing. However I also think that Sailor Moon Crystal missed a chance at making the visual differences obvious between brainwashed and regular Mamoru. If you look carefully you can see a subtle difference between the two versions in the manga. Finally Umino is handsome without glasses!

Ivar Timewalker Issue 9 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

Readers of Archer & Armstrong will recognize the events at the beginning of this issue. However while some may consider it a bit lazy (in terms of creating new events) I think it allows more accessibility for those newer to Valiant. Also any of the repetition pales in comparison to the cool exploration of the multiverse by Neela & Ivar. An example is the universe which has Native Americans filling the stands of a sporting event.

The only real problem I have with this issue is a nitpick level one. I think humans perceive more than just three dimensions and thus the 4 fourth dimension is not actually time. Though that is just my personal opinion. Overall I give this issue my highest recommendation for the great creativity on the writing, coloring and art fronts. Though only a regular type of recommendation for those looking for a 'perfect' lettering and editing job due to a missed "of."

In The Name Of The Moon It Will Be Blogged Sailor Moon R Episode 32

Amazing how much they removed for the English dubbing. However though they took out the first scene and all traces of Christmas they forgot Mina's Japanese name was written on her apron. Though I wish they had taken out the Luna face shown before the montage. Also the current lead villain is a buffoon on keeping information to herself. I mean she attacks Chibi-Usa and thus risks her plan. Next she proves she has 'looser lips' than a Bond Villain. Just ridiculous! Finally my only question is: Why did Tuxedo Mask need to have such a poor reason to give his standard motivation speech?

Rai Issue 10 Day Of Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

I am really hoping the new character of Lemur stays around for a while. He is very amusing and is like a future male version of Faith in how he brightens up the story. As for the story itself there were a lot of surprises revealed in this issue. Also the dialogue is great from both the writing and lettering standpoints. Finally the art is almost jumping off the page due to it having just the right amount of kinetic motion in each panel. Highly recommended issue for current and oncoming Valiant readers.

Past Aways Issue 6 Review With Spoilers

Warning of Spoilers!

This issue has two relatively small problems. The more major of the two is that the issue is very reliant on the text in order to get certain story details. It is not just the footnotes either, but the whole issue. These specific details, such as the super advanced talking stairs, and the lack of summary information regarding the premise creates a limitation on the accessibility. In other words oncoming readers might have a harder time with this issue if they are starting with it.

On the plus side the pacing is excellent and is used to enhance the humor of the issue. Also while not perfect the art is great when it comes to the subtle visual details. As for the writing the idea of a drink given via a suppository is hilarious! In fact the main reason I would recommend this issue is the drink establishment story from Herb's travelogue/diary/journal. Finally there is some great plot developments.

Verdict: Recommended, even though I don't know what is up wit…

Past Aways Issue 5 Review With Spoilers

Warning For Spoilers!

I love the concept in the first footnote in this issue! It adds to the humor and the idea that humans no matter what the time frame are still prone to mistakes. Though I do not like the Gamora elements to the giant tortoise. They just are too obvious in terms of the reference. As for the rest of the writing I found it to be at it's best in the area of creativity. On the art side of things this issue tells almost the same story as the text tells us. However the opening and end pages are ones that definitely required text. Finally the accessibility of this issue is reliant on the summary of the last issue. Overall I have to recommend this issue for its humor and creativity.

Past Aways Issue 4 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

There is a major mistake in this issue which takes the reader out of the final pages. Said problem is that the year 2015 is mentioned as the present time in the summary, but in story the year is 2014. However even with this problem this is still a good issue. On the plus side there are secrets revealed for every secret added. Also the colors are less glaring for some of this story which is another plus. Finally the story is still extremely accessible to oncoming readers.

    Verdict: Recommended!

X-O Manowar Issue 40 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

This could have been a good and quick story plot that was screwed up by decompression, but the Human Vine are the factor that makes the difference. By having a fourth faction between Aric's People, the refugee Vine, & G.A.T.E. there is more story to develop. As for the art it is good, though it would be great if it was not too minimal in certain areas in terms of the facial details. Finally the coloring and lettering are well done. I recommend this issue, especially for anyone looking to write an essay about comics and their relation to refugees.

Ninjak Issue 7 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

The art is beautiful in color and line work for both the main story and 'The Lost Files' story. However the second story is more straight forward on the art, while the first has subtle jokes and references. For example there is a man in Sanguine's origin story who resembles Groucho Marx of Marx Bros. fame. Also those looking for connections to the wider Valiant universe will want to check out this issue for a certain character's cameo.

As for the writing the first story is a very good one except for the Butler's teary (and brutal) confession. I think this is a little out of nowhere unless he has some deeper connection to Colin. There is another problem with Sanguine's mention of Alcott's line of predecessors being unclear if it is literal or metaphorical. Overall I think these problems are small enough that the story is still good enough to recommend. As for 'The Lost Files' story it is not meaty enough to stand alone but…

Recommended Comics List Of 4 Hank Of Hydra Edition

1. Dark Blue collected edition was published by Avatar Press in 2001. Is a decent though not really remarkable science fiction meets crime procedural. Recommended for those looking for a quick read or just fans of Warren Ellis.

2. Hank Johnson, Agent Of Hydra #1 (2015) is for those looking for a satire meets slice of life story featuring Marvel's hydra without the need to read tons of back issues.

3. Howard The Human #1 (2015) another comic that is fine for those looking for a quick read without any continuity issues.

4. Walt Disney Presents Winnie-The-Pooh #8 (1978) is perfect for fans of Disney and/or Winnie-The-Pooh. However this is more for those who have little kids or people who are stunted in their intellectual growth.

Harrow County Issue 1 Mini-Review

There is a beautiful use of the darker areas of the color spectrum as well as the darker shades of lighter colors. The line work is rough but skilled in a sort of rural painting of the Van Gogh styling. As for the writing it is chillingly good with just about the right of amount of horror in the subject matter. However it could be creepier. Overall I recommend this issue.

Blue Asteroids Cowboy Bebop Episode 4 Opinion Piece

Twinkle Murdock's English voice actress sounds creepier than the Japanese voice actress. However I think around half the dialogue is better in the Japanese version than the English dubbing in terms of its clarity. As for the special effects, I think the gate scene is still up there with current effects in live action movies. Also is most of the Ganymede ISSP stupid or just the ones who died in this episode? I mean none of them expected a decoy. Speaking of stupid, Twinkle's henchmen are both competent regarding their crimes and stupid for following Twinkle's ideas. I mean she turns at least one of them into a monkey! Finally would someone make a fan production of the scene where Spike is trying to break the vial?

Mirror's Edge Exordium Issue 1 Review

The story seems to rely on knowledge of the universe established in the video game Mirror's Edge. However it is still accessible enough as a story to stand on it's own. As for the set-up it could have used a bit more meat regarding the characters personalities, and more on the definitions of certain terminology. Though the comic has good enough writing the art is another thing entirely. The art looks to smooth in the details of the characters bodies most of the time, and other times it looks too minimalistic. However with a little improvement it could be good kinetic work.

   My verdict: Barely recommended!

Not Recommended Comics List Of 4 Eternal Warriors Edition

1. Eternal Warriors: Archer & Armstrong (1997) was published during the period Acclaim owned Valiant and boy are there so many problems. First off is that the art is too hyper-stylized and trying to be early Image. Characters heights change. Accessibility for any readers is pretty much nowhere to be found. Archer is not in the issue and his replacement has no apparent connection to him. The coloring hurts the eyes. Just avoid!

2. Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia #1 (2009) is inconsistent in its artistic quality with some panels looking scratchy while other look polished. Also it has a weird cameo of the Mr. Fantastic and his wife and son. Said cameo is weird because it feels like it was a story in itself, and the parents aren't paying any attention to their "mutant" son's distress. Finally the ending is just abrupt.

3. The Flash #156 (1965) is good until one gets to the time travel ending after there was already time travel used before hand. So this issue'…

In The Name Of The Moon It Will Be Blogged Sailor Moon R Episode 31

Bad sayings abound at the end of this episode. For the Japanese dialogue we have some weird saying about worrying improving a female's looks. Though the English dub trumped this by essentially suggesting that the battle made Usagi glow which sounds as if she is in a post-orgasmic glow. So yeah this episode of Sailor Moon R has some messed up and suggestive dialogue. Another weird thing is Artemis apparently in the bathroom while Minako is only in a towel. However my favorite is the bystander in the class room with Ami, Umino, and Naru who is not wearing a ring/bracelet. His idle shocked look amused me! Speaking of Umino and Naru it was nice to see them again.

Questions! How come certain monsters/droids can talk but others can't? Is there a cultural difference  when it comes to the words bracelet and ring? Why did Mamoru not come out and directly say how he felt on the rooftop instead of being cryptic? Why was the last scene slanted? Will we get 'proper' jokes next…

King Tiger Issue 2 Review With Spoilers

Spoiler Warning!

If you mixed Doctor Strange and Shang-Chi together you would not have anything close to this level of cool! The art is kinetic, richly textured and realistic without being obviously photo referenced. The only flaw I found in the entire issue is one fingernail that is a little longer than the others and the wrong color. We learn more about Tiger and his enemies. Plus Milo is hinted at possibly being the "real" hero in this mini-series. I extremely recommend reading this issue and the first one. Also Dark Horse get this same creative team to make more mini-series featuring King Tiger, Milo, & Rikki.

Unity Issue 22 Day Of Review With Spoilers

Spoiler Warning!

I am so thankful for the pretty great art in this issue. There is a flaw of the eyes looking beady at times, but that is nothing compared to the flaws from the previous few issues. Also I loved how this issue is more character centric on someone we may or may not see more of later. Obviously at some point we will see War-Monger again because immortals are hard to permanently defeat. As for the coloring, this issue has one of the best sky coloring jobs I have ever seen. It is simply beautiful!

Finally I have mixed feelings regarding the notation about this being before Book Of Death. I feel that this is obvious to long time readers. However at the same time those who have never reader any Valiant comics would benefit from being told this. Not a lot of companies would still do this. So kudos to whoever remembered the accessibility factor.

   Verdict: Recommended!

Past Aways Issue 3 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

There is a bit too much minimalism on the facial expressions in a few panels. However for the most part the art is fantastic, and it has some surprising hints for future stories. The hallunications and internal bio-robot parts are (in my opinion) the most creative work I have seen from Scott Kolins in recent years. As for the writing I feel that the characters had some real development in both their past and the modern era scenes. Phil and his programming being the most interesting development. Finally the coloring could still be a bit duller during the daytime scenes, but otherwise it works for me.

 Verdict: Recommended Issue.

Angel & Faith Season 10 Issue 15 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

The villains in this issue lack a real reason for why they are doing evil. They have a plan but no motive for why they are doing it. Another problem is that Angel out of nowhere finally tells someone about his "murder dreams." Why he does it after so many issues just out of the blue screams of poor plotting. Though it does allow for the crossover phone call with Spike. Despite these problems it is interesting to find out that Gachnar from Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 4 is apparently a species. As for the art it only has either odd coloring or photo realism when it comes to Angel's appearance. Otherwise this is an entertaining comic with good coloring and art. I recommend it for those looking for more Fred/Illyria and Gachnar.

Barb Wire Volume 2 Issue 3 Review With Spoilers

Spoiler Warning!

There are references to My Little Pony and Abe Sapien, and I think this is cool. As for how they come about all I can say is think "literally" in regards to terms. Speaking of being literal I think the cover art featuring actual barb wire on Barb presents an interesting aesthetic. Though I feel the barb wire near her ear is a bit much. The interior art is just as cool, especially because of the visual jokes and the lack of heels on Barb's boots. Finally the writing is funny, realistic, and works well with the art. I highly recommend this accessible issue.

Blue Asteroids Cowboy Bebop Episode 3 Opinion Piece

I think Faye got cooler dialogue for the opening of the English dub. Though the Japanese dub is more accurate regarding the first rule of combat. Also Faye not knowing anything about the tech in the casino chip is better for the story. So arguably the lesser narrative is the Japanese one because of repetitive information in a short span of time. However I did enjoy the subtle variations in dialogue.

Questions! Did that bounty on Faye ever get removed? Shouldn't Faye's Ship have caused decompression by bursting into the space casino?

X Volume 4 Better Off Dead Review With Spoilers

Spoiler Warning!

Referencing Mr. Magoo in the opening section has already dated this book because of how knowledge of the character has dwindled since the 1990s. Yes I know he was created before the 90s, however his popularity has severely lessened in recent decades. Though I can say that besides that type of reference this book is very accessible to readers who haven't read previous issues.

As for the brutality, it is realistic even with the superpowers of certain characters. Although the logic behind certain brutal actions is questionable at times.

Regarding the visual side of things I have to say that there are to many page breaks. Said breaks are annoying and should be cut from future editions for cost saving measures. As for the art it is better for issues 13 and 14 versus the art style from 15 and 16. Though I personally think there was improvement in the art from 16 in that it looked less muddy than 15.

Finally the narrative nicely sets up future stories while allo…

Weird Ideas List Of 4 Oh Thou Tutu Edition

1. How many pets actually have destroyed tutus?

2. How many pets have been blamed for destroying a tutu when a human actually did the deed?

3. How many construction workers secretly wear just a tutu when around alone at home?

4. How many people have a sexual fetish for tutus?

Moonbeam City Episode Mall Hath No Fury Advance Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

I found one joke to be funny and the rest to be bad attempts that fell flat. The show relies too much on obscure but obvious references from the 1980s. It does this while trying to rip-off the video game Grand Theft Auto Vice City and the television show Archer. The only interesting thing in this train wreck is the cast which features acting by Kate Mara, Rob Lowe, and Elizabeth Banks among others. There is a subplot involving an unbelievable amount of success for a common criminal. If this had been the main plot it may have worked as a pilot episode. Unfortunately there are so many other plot-lines, from a coffee mug rivalry to a singer's career, that are mixed in that the episode becomes convoluted. Finally the animation just looks cheap and dated compared to something like Archer.

   Verdict: Not Recommended

In The Name Of The Moon It Will Be Blogged Sailor Moon R Episode 30

Usagi calling Tuxedo Mask a doofus in the English dub after he starts talking like a PSA is shocking. Speaking of shockingly odd things, Rei's English voice acting sounds like it is either a different actress or being directed differently. Also I found the ending to be odd in that the final confrontation of the episode is just a verbal sparring match. Though the oddest bit is the fact that no one notices the eye-catching woman outside the cake place dangling a yo-yo like black crystal earring. Just weird!

As for the Japanese dub I liked how there is less rudeness on the part of Chibi-Usa and the Sailor Scouts. Sure the Scouts almost get Artemis killed by suffocation in a basket, but they at least try and tell Chibi-Usa and Usagi about the cakes. The lack of the Elephant comment from Chibi-Usa is also why I feel this is the better dub. Also I like that there are rude but realistic comments about the pigging-out that Esmeraude hears. Though why she has never heard or seen cake…

Recommended Comics List Of 4 Silver Mystic Hog Edition

1. Mystic: The Tenth Apprentice Softcover is the way to go for a good female led story. I just wish there was more than just the four issues. If you are a fan of G. Willow Wilson than this collected edition is for you.

2. Sonic Universe #79 is a good set-up to a future set mystery in the main Sonic The Hedgehog universe. Also provides a bit of origin information for Silver The Hedgehog. The art is pretty decent in terms of the newer characters. Though since I have not kept up with the video games I am really just assuming certain characters are new.

3. Mary Roberts Rinehart's The Bat #1 published by Adventure Comics in 1992 is a good mystery story with nice art. The only downside is that it's a one-shot that leaves the masked character's identity and motivations a mystery to the reader. Recommended for the journey it takes readers on.

4. Two-Step published by Cliffhanger which was an imprint of Wildstorm which in turn was an imprint of DC Comics circa 2004. It is suggested…

This Damned Band Issue 2 Day Of Review

I still don't understand what the set-up is beyond the basic premise of a fake history of a band that encounters "The Devil" while having a documentary being shot. Yes the art is better than last issue with no melted faces, but the writing is still off. Paul Cornell is a good writer usually, but this issue has several problems. The characters are obviously references to so many major musicians and bands it is not funny. Readers get no idea why the documentary is being done in the first place. What does "the Devil" get out of the band being popular and meeting him/her? Finally the jokes fall flat most of the time. Unless the next 4 issues are good this may turn out to be more pointless a series than The Helm.*

    Verdict: Not Recommended!

*Though The Helm was in my opinion pointless it at least was entertaining.

Imperium Issue 8 Day Of Review With Spoilers

Spoiler Warning!

This issue ends the battle of Divinity and Harada in a believable way. It also exposes a weakness in Divinity that makes him more human for those who don't want to read about a god-like character. However while these are great moments the issue does feel like a bit of a retread of the last two issues. Though this is okay because of the nature of time-loops and time travel within one individual's personal timeline. That being said the retread of information does successfully hide the cliffhanger's shocking reminder. I would say it is a reveal, but it was brought up in a previous issue.

Now as for the coloring and lettering they are done without error. The line work is top-notch. I also have no idea if certain sections of work have been reused for this issue, but the dialogue and art are so good I don't care. Finally I have to recommend this comic not only for everyone (of age), but specifically for Divinity and Harada fans.

Past Aways Issue 2 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

While there are multiple words and phrases I could use to compliment this issue "total success" is not one of them. A success of sequential storytelling with very interesting characters is all I can give it in terms of general praise due to its two small problems. One problem is that the leader known as Art again looks like a certain speedster from another company. However since this will probably be a continuing design I will let it slide. The secondary problem is that the long-winded tour is too long. Though it does allow the reader to see why Art is a terrible leader for the group.

Overall I do like and recommend this issue because of the character developments and the background details in the art.
