Divinity II Issue 1 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

The fact that this series contrasts with Divinity while also being a second act is done extremely well. Where Divinity felt more experimental in nature this feels both experimental and standard. Experimental in terms of how the ensemble of creativity is required for any of it to work. This is especially evident when one looks at the behind-the-scenes commentary in the issue. It is standard, and contrasts with Divinity, by not playing with narrative perceptions of time and space. Finally there is some political commentary regarding Vladimir Putin that would make this a bad thing to (currently) take on a trip to Russia.
