Serenity Firefly Class 03-K64 No Power In The Verse Issue 1 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

This issue is somewhat inaccessible if one hasn't read Serenity: Leaves On The Wind or only watched the television series Firefly. It can still be read, but it will be confusing if the other two media products have never been consumed. Also confusing is why characters like Simon go so off model at times that they look like completely different people. This is a major problem because it happens from panel to panel on a few pages. Finally the pacing is slow, and arguably boring, both from a writing perspective and the lack of anything visually interesting. By this I mean the most exciting bit is the "heist" at the beginning.

My Verdict: Not recommended, but only in a wait to digital bundle it or for the trade kind of way.
