Aliens: Life And Death Issue 4 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

From "what makes a good comic book?" technical perspective this is only an okay comic. The ending reminds readers that it is a cash grab round robin style crossover. I say round robin due to how it is one singular story told by different teams on different titles with one clear ending in mind.

Another reason it fails is how the aethestics are too minimal at times. Also there is trouble with sequencing during a sneak attack by Xenomorph.

Finally Dan Abnett while having a mostly strong script has a massive plothole around the humans escape from the nest. Said plothole occurs suddenly when a giant Xenomorph comes from the ground to fight a Promethean(?). The plot hole expands when no explanation is given for where it came from and where the smaller ones protecting the nest went.

My verdict: It is okay for hardcore fanatics of the Alien/Predator/Prometheus franchise, but not recommended for anyone else.
