Divinity III: Escape From Gulag 396 Issue 1 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

There is seemingly a problem with the main story title having the word "Escape" mirrored for seemingly no reason. However, I believe this is not actually a problem, but a clue about the ending and characters. Though readers of this review will have to read this recommended comic to learn more on that front.

What I can say for sure is that both stories having small and barely noticeable flaws in characters' heights. In the case of the main story Archer is almost as tall as Armstrong. Thus Francis Portela seemingly forgets that in current continuity Archer is towered over by Armstrong. While Juan José Ryp has inadvertently positioned The Pioneer in consecutive panels without fully considering panel depth. In other words the positioning sometimes negates some height equaling a slight lack of depth.

Lastly while the colors and lettering are good overall the writing for the second story is lacking. Specifically because it is just one person talking about their origin for a few pages.

Recommended, mainly for a jaw-dropping moment.
