Review Of Abby Gaines's Married By Mistake

Warning Of Potential Spoilers!

This novel is enjoyable for the most part. Yes, some of it is constructed in a formulaic way, particularly the chapters after the main characters sleep together, however it is mostly well-written. Even minor characters who are mainly plot devices are written well enough not to feel like such. The main problems are the occasional "word of the day" in certain sentences, and the angst and fluff being a little too overdone at times. Yet the pacing and several moments (such as Sam's romantic pursuit of another character) often make up for said contrivances.

My verdict: Married By Mistake is recommended for those who are looking for a light read in the romance genre. However, it will not please everyone due to the problems I mentioned.
