Britiannia We Who Are About To Die Issue 1 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

This comic has brilliant uses of subtle, yet obvious visual foreshadowing that will make this a good reread. Speaking of brilliant there is almost that is not great about this comic. I say almost because some of the facial expressions seem a little too wild at times, particularly around the eyes. Also the Vestal Virgins' leader seems less regal in her bearings. Other than that this is an issue of very high quality. Finally I give kudos to the creative team, including the editors, for keeping the idea of including a scholarly article at the end.

Recommended for all comic fans and scholars who are of age to read this, except those who fetishize the 1985 film Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome.
