Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 11 Issue 7 Review With Spoilers

Warning Of Spoilers!

The art, coloring and lettering are fine. However, the characterization and plot are inexcusably weak. We still have no idea what has been going on in a wider scale sense, and with 4 issues to go it feels like beginning with this issue that things are going to be rushed along. There is also the fact that Willow, Buffy, and Spike act due to what the plot needs instead of like characters. Heck, Buffy fans who remember her referencing abuses of civil rights back in Season 4 episode 8 "Pangs" will be pissed at how Christos Gage fails to add a moment there.

Lastly Buffy, Willow, and Spike fail to consider that allowing Buffy and Willow to be de-powered in order to leave the safe zone/reservation/prison/concentration camp are not going to be targeted by a corrupt government are insane. Examples of why they should be more wary are: Soap Operas, classical literature, comic books from Xander and Andrew's collections, The Council of Watchers, movies, current and past news, the Initiative, their current situation, the treatment of individuals who are Muslim, Native Americans, Jews, Blacks, etc. that governments have killed or abused.

It is primarily for that last reason that I can't and won't recommend this issue.

   Extremely Not Recommended!
