Lucky (2016) Issue 1 Review

Some of the line work for this issue could be a little less angled. However, the art for the most part is strong and intriguing to look at, especially due to the style having a Spanish or Italian sense to it. The colors are dark and rich for the most part. Though bright colors are used for the day time scenes they are only really there to denote the time. While the writing could be a little better on the characterization it does set-up the story well. Lastly, letterer Micah Myers provides a great font and placement for the text.

Disclaimer: I have in the past worked with and/or for Anthony Mathenia, Micah Myers, and the Stache Publishing community on other works. However, no one who worked on this comic requested this review, and I do not benefit from reviewing it.
